Due to staffing and budget restrictions, the shelter is not open during regular business hours. However, you can make an appointment and arrange to have a Humane Society staff member on site at any time that is most convenient for you.

Our address
We are located near the Charles City water treatment plant just off East Clark Street near the Charles City Community High School. If you travel East down Clark Street you should take an immediate right after the gas station, you will be turning onto Shaw Avenue. Follow Shaw Avenue past the water treatment plant and you can’t miss us.
